The Tastiest Chips 2007

The citizens of North Devon can now cease all the frenzied speculation. The regions tastiest chips, as voted by the members of B.A.N.D can now be revealed. Our selfless judges have scoured the limits and beyond in search of the tastiest of North Devon's delectable delicacy.

Throughout the year club members have endured ever increasing waistlines and tightening leathers in our quest. It goes without saying that the wonderful chips served up by June at the Old Union Inn needed to be excluded, as it would be unfair to the opposition and might leave the club open to accusations of favouritism.

The Bikers Association of North Devon would like to thank all the people who made suggestions about where we should seek the perfect chip. All suggestions for next year's search would be most welcome and will be followed up.

This years winner took the accolade by a unanimous vote, such was the quality of the fare on offer. Not only does the customer get the tastiest chips available but the location is quite simply stunning. Whether it be sunshine, howling wind or rain, Hartland Quay offers an experience few locations in the UK can match.

Congratulations go to Jill Johns and her staff at the Hartland Quay Hotel who are this years winners of the Tastiest Chip award and allows them to display the coveted 'Three Helmet' certificate at the establishment.
